Photography Made Easier Through Digital Technology

posted on 12 May 2012 in Recreation and Hobbies

While I'm no portrait photographer, I recently bought a new digital camera. It is called an Insignia. I simply love it! It can even record movies as well as take clear pictures. What I like to do is take pictures of my toy collection. I collect super hero action figures and I love reenacting stories or making my own. So I take picture after picture of different scenes in which I set up. Also using the movie feature of the digital camera I take stop motion photos that when linked together form a sort of silent movie. There are features with this camera which allow you take up close shots that have such clarity. Sometimes when I go to parties I'll sit the camera down and leave the movie recorder option on. It just records the picture and sound of what happens. Something about a camera which takes a photo is just awesome and fun. I highly recommend a digital to camera to anyone who is into photography.

Like Living in a Box or a Play House?

posted on 11 May 2012 in Holiday and Travel

Ever since my grandparents finally settled on the caravan they wanted after what seemed like years of looking at caravans for sale in the UK, we would go on holiday with my grandparents every year and without fail, and we would spend a week in a caravan by the seaside. Since holidays with my parents were usually under canvas, life in a caravan seemed pretty glamorous and was always great fun.We enjoyed the mini kitchens and bedrooms and the 'transformer' routine of turning the seating area into our beds each night. Caravans were like glorified play houses. Our holidays were always in England and generally the weather let us down. I have many happy memories of sitting in a caravan as the rain thrummed on the roof and my grandfather claimed for the 10th time that day that it was "Only a clearing-up shower". My grandmother would cook 'caravan food' - things out of tins and dried food we could rehydrate in a saucepan - or if the camp site had catering, we could spend the evening eating fish and chips and then playing cards late into the night. We never had fancy caravans with bathrooms so we learned early not to drink too much in the evenings for fear of having to make the scary walk to the toilet block in the night and we were pretty scared of the showers too.

Recalling One Unfortunate Date with a Guy

posted on 11 May 2012 in Home and Garden

Today is Friday and with nothing better to get busy with, I could not help but remember a guy I once dated a few years back. His name was Paul and at first look, anyone would agree that he was indeed good looking. He seemed really nice at first. I thought he was fun to be with until we went out on our first date. Don't get me wrong. I don't intend to be the center of attention in any situation or relationship. But I think anyone would appreciate if he or she is at least given the chance to express a thought or two during a conversation. Unfortunately, it was not the case with Paul. I didn't know he was very talkative. He could hardly stop talking the whole time we were together. The worst thing is, he was too insensitive to even think whether or not I was a bit interested about everything he was talking about such as Nuneaton roofing, among many others. Truly, the guy turned out to be one insensitive mammal.

Rekindle The Wrecked Friendship By Going Shopping.

posted on 11 May 2012 in Technology

My friend Crizel wants me to go shopping with her this coming Friday. The thing is I have a plan with my boyfriend. I couldn't tell her that I have plans for that day because she'll tell me I keep canceling on her since we had a petty fight over a dress. So since I have been saying no like a million times to her after that I decided to come. I'm having problems with my phone so I might as well go anyway. The question is do I need blackberry enterprise server or just keep it as it is? Too technical for me to deal with. I'll just give it to my boyfriend so that he could have it fixed.I wonder where are we gonna go on Friday? After that petty fight there's a wall that very obvious yet we try to ignore it. Oh well, the friendship is more important than anything else. So this could be a good start for us both. We might be back in our old selves after some serious shopping.

Dirt Bikers: Thrill Seekers with Surprising Careers

posted on 1 May 2012 in Cars and Transport

I've always associated dirt biking with the young or the...well, frankly less well educated. Perhaps it's because of the inherent dangers involved - surely anyone with intelligence wouldn't partake in such a dangerous hobby. And yet, how wrong I was. I attended a dirt bike rally and got the chance to speak to a lot of the riders. Amongst them were doctors, lawyers, an architect and a programmer. Well educated, intelligent people! They traded in their weekday suits for the colourful motocross clothing every weekend, and they transformed themselves from risk-free office workers to risk-taking dirt bikers. I can see the appeal. It's their weekend ying to their weekday yang. It gives them a chance to take physical risks when their everyday life has very little. So my little stereotype was completely wrong - these riders were really clever, successful people. Perhaps I should question my own prejudgements about certain groups of people!

Selling North Texas Real Estate

posted on 20 April 2012 in Business and Finance

I have been in the real estate for a few years now. I can clearly remember the first house that I sold. The feeling was priceless. It was indeed one of my achievements of finally selling my first house. I got into this business because ever since I was in high school my friends see me as the sales guy. In college, I took up sales and marketing that eventually lead me to the real estate industry.

My dad would tell me that being in the real estate can be difficult at first but once I get the hang of it everything would be easier. My first project was in North Texas real estate where there are a couple of houses that was assigned to me. Luckily, I was very familiar with the place. This made it easier for me to sell the North Texas real estate because I myself had a first-hand experience in that area. After a few clients, I was able to sell it in just a few weeks. I was really happy and my family was so proud of me.

Gifts from My Aunt for Us Her Family

posted on 16 April 2012 in Technology

When my aunt came to home from Chicago she bought me a desktop computer. When she arrived at the airport the first thing that we did was get the computer at the shop. I was so happy and excited imagine a not rich 15yr old has a brand new desktop computer and the great thing about it is it was the latest CPU at that time the Intel dual core or Pentium D. when we arrived at home I immediately unpacked the desktop computer and start setting it up installing the operating system and the drivers for the computers devices. My aunt works in Chicago with her family. They help us in our expenses here in the like my tuition fee and bills. We are a close knit family, stick together and help each other. Her purpose for the desktop computer is that we can use it for our communication via web conference and research for school assignments and other needs. Six years after, my desktop computer still works properly and still in a good condition. It may not be the latest anymore because technology is so fast that they developed new kinds of CPUs. The next present my aunt gave is for my mom. She gave her a netbook for her personal and work use. When we opened the box we checked the Netbook Guide first. We should read the manual first before using it. It is very important to read the manual first before doing anything that to avoid damaging the device and so that you would know what to do first and how to handle it. I hope in the future my aunt will buy me a present and a good one just like a media laptop or a motorcycle.

Wanting Things You Can't Afford is a Recipe for Disaster

posted on 9 April 2012 in Uncategorised

The thing with being a social climber is that he or she would do just about anything to look rich and fashionable. I don't mean to badmouth anybody but I have to be honest living with someone like that is pretty stressful and bloody annoying. Sharon despite being nice has this tendency to desire things she cannot afford not in this lifetime anyways. I mean regular folks like us cannot afford to buy a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes per month or maybe we can but that'd be using a credit card and end up getting buried under a huge debt. As Sharon moves around the so called elite circle she has resorted to looking for ebay fake items (class A knock offs) of bags, shoes, and clothes. Yet despite them being knock offs they are still very expensive and from the last time I checked she was two months overdue from rent payment. See what I mean about it being annoying and stressful? No wonder our landlady has been pretty cold and sarcastic towards her am sure I would be too if I were in her shoes.

Cake Decorating Idea Helped Me

posted on 26 March 2012 in Food and Drink

I love baking chocolate cakes and cupcakes. My mom taught me how to bake a cake. We would usually spend our weekends doing various kinds of cake recipes. But most of the time, we stick to a simple chocolate cake or some red velvet cupcakes. I was planning to bake my mom a cake for her birthday. I was thinking of making her a special cake. That is why I searched for some CakeDecoratingIdeasFree.com in the internet.

Luckily, I encountered this cool website. They have lots of tips about how to decorate your cake. It is really helpful for me because I am really not good in making icings for cake. I usually fail in making the right consistency of icings. But through the site, I was able to found out about tips that are indeed really effective. They even have a cake that is designed as an oven. I thought it is a perfect cake decorating idea for my mom.

Plans with the Little Campus Kitchen in the Near Future

posted on 17 March 2012 in Home and Garden

If you know how it is to live in a campus with a small kitchen you have to share, then you know what I'm going through. These kinds of kitchens require a lot of creativity and patience from those cooking in them. We have a small freezer, just a tiny bit of cupboard space, small sink and old electric stove which takes ages to heat up and choosing temperature with this thing is almost like blind guessing. Kitchen itself is hundred square feet big. There are many improvement to make. First of all, we could use a microwave oven or simple electric oven to help us making more dishes than we are making now. Secondly, maid is needed to keep the kitchen clean and tidy. Last but not least, decorations are needed to turn this grey and boring room into a happier place where to cook and eat. These three things are something that are accomplished with ease and with little money, but the result, I hope, would change our kitchen drastically better place to all of us in the near future.

Staff Pours Out His Sentiments to His Boss

posted on 16 March 2012 in Technology

Why are you so upset with me anyway? It's not like I left without telling anyone. I informed your secretary personally. Yes, I went to your office but you were in the middle of a very important meeting. I was made to understand that there was no way you can get out from there to have a word with me and that's why I left. But should you take it against me? I mean, I did not just go anywhere. I met up with a client and closed an important deal for the company. Shouldn't you be thanking me for that? Don't I deserve a pat on my back for that? I don't understand anymore. You told me to contact bt and I did. You told me to go to China and I would, even if it means I would be missing my son's soccer game. And this is what I get? So tell me, sir...where is justice here? What more do I need to do for you to appreciate my work? Now I wonder, am I better off somewhere else? You tell me, sir.

Can You Afford Not to Have Cat Insurance?

posted on 12 March 2012 in Uncategorised

Every responsible pet owner should really take a serious look at cat insurance. There are several different plans that cat owners can get, none of them are very expensive.

Compare Cat Insurance is something that cat owners should buy to protect them if an unexpected accident or sickness happens to their furry friend. The insurance is meant to cover problems that happen, not maintenance. If you can not afford the everyday maintenance of owning a cat, then you certainly should not own one. That being said, if you can not afford a pet insurance policy, then maybe you should not own a cat either. This is because the insurance is going to be much less than any problem that happens with the animal. Unfortunately, most cats will at some time have a health crisis which could use the health insurance.

Cat insurance can cost anywhere from around $4 a month to $30 a month depending on the policy. You can purchase them to just cover accidents or to cover illnesses too. Some policies will cover dental expenses. There are also policies that cover kennel fees and even burial and cremation of the cat. There are more expensive policies that will cover routine visits also, these tend to cost around $45 a month for the coverage. Many policies will also cover spaying and neutering also. You can also find a policy that will cover the loss of the cat, often giving you $250 - $500. Of course when you are buying a policy, you should determine what you can afford, and shop around to find the policy that meets all of your needs.

You may not want to buy the most expensive policy, but taking out a policy against an accident or an illness is a good idea. You do not have anything but money to lose. Unfortunately many time owners can not afford the care of the sick pet and end up putting them down for something their insurance would have covered.

Please Keep the Music Playing All Day

posted on 8 March 2012 in Home and Garden

It's almost 1 AM. My favorite radio station will be going off the air and will resume at 5 AM. What a shame. Why can't they have a 24 hour operation just like other radio stations? I mean not everyone go to bed at 1 AM these days. There are people like me works in the evening and love to listen to music. I just don't get it though. It seems as if I am more productive when I hear music. I don't feel sleepy and I feel that thoughts would flow freely in my mind especially in late evenings when the neighbors are asleep and all you could hear is the music from the radio and the rain on the Nuneaton roofing just like tonight. I didn't open Facebook tonight for I feel that if I do, I get stuck to it and not do my projects. My friend would get mad at times for I am handing my work late these days. Well, blame it to Facebook and to the people at work who keep me working late that all I could think of is hit the bed when I get home.

Asking Daddy to be Nice to a Special Guest

posted on 22 February 2012 in Recreation and Hobbies

Dad, Vic is coming over to dinner. I asked him to join us tonight because I want you all to meet him. I know it is not easy for you to welcome him here. I won't be asking much from you. I just want you to give him a chance to show you that he has only pure intentions for me. He is a great guy, dad and I want you to see it. You should listen to him talk about sport psychology because he is really good. I told him that the whole family is crazy about football and he finds it amazing. He can sing too, you know. So maybe we can bring him to the karaoke bar when he comes. It would be so much fun, don't you think? Dad, please do this for me. I really like Vic and I have a feeling that he will play an important role in my life. It will mean so much to me if you just talk to him. Please promise me that you'll be nice.

That job has to be worked for no matter who you are

posted on 3 February 2012 in Food and Drink

If you call yourself a professional, you will be given this title completely when you have confirmed that you have professionalism in you. After this confirmation, you can get the chance that you were requesting for. A uk outside caterer will have to prove to the company that they know what the field of outside catering is all about. They will make sure that this person is not just an impostor who is trying to get a chance that they have not qualified for. This is one process that companies in the United Kingdom put people through when they are looking for jobs. They got to show the company and those in charge that they know what they are doing. Providing proof is not through the qualification papers that they have but also through practical work that they will have to do. If they do well here, they will have no more problems with the company. The job will be given to them straight away. This job will benefit them and they will as well benefit the company they are working with.

You will only get to learn if you have an experience

posted on 3 February 2012 in Technology

Working with skype has given me the satisfaction that I never thought I would have. However, the problem only comes in now that there is more to learn than I ever thought. But I do not despair anything because I believe that anything that is to be learned is important in one way or the other. And since there are no books of study that are involved, I believe there is no course for alarm. What I would like to learn now is how to connect skype to facebook. For many years, I have heard many people praise facebook for the enjoyable activities that come with it. But never did I thought of joining it because of the negative effects that I have seen it have in the lives of many users. It was not until recently that I thought of connecting skype to facebook and see if I can fit in the two. But now I am happy that I am going to learn the process even better and know what there is in facebook that many people claim to enjoy.

Mom Rewards Her Child for being Good

posted on 2 February 2012 in Arts and Entertainment

It was late in the afternoon when Martha heard her phone ringing. She was about to take a cab to take her home but when she checked, it was her teenage daughter, Sarah calling. When she picked up, Sarah told her mom, Mom, I hope you can drop by any magazine store nearby and check if they have something about jay z. Hurry, mom! His magazines are selling like cupcakes and I really want to have my own copy. Since Sarah has always been a good girl, Martha gladly obliged to her child's request. She thought it was a fitting reward for a job well done in school and for not causing any trouble at home. When Martha hopped off the cab, she saw Sarah running towards her, asking if she was able to buy the magazine she was talking about earlier. Before she could finish asking the question, she already saw it and she jumped for joy at the sight of it. To see her smile like that was more than enough for Martha.
